Emotional Intelligence Testing

Most researchers agree that EI can be measured in a person and, significantly, can be improved. This has invaluable implications for both personal and workplace relationships. Emotional Intelligence is measured in an EQ test, in a similar way to how an IQ test measures cognitive intelligence.

ASC Training & Development deliver the Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (known in EI circles as the MSCEIT), widely accepted as the most accurate and scientifically-based measure of EI in the world. This test is administered by Liz Britton, an experienced facilitator in frontline management and an accredited MSCEIT practitioner.

The MSCEIT testing process uses an ability-based scale that measures how well people perform tasks and solve emotional problems. This is very different from other EI ‘self tests’ that rely on an individual’s subjective assessment of their own emotional skills. This means that the test will give a far more accurate representation of a person’s EI based on a scientific assessment of their skills in a range of situations. In short, no other test captures what MSCEIT can. Its wide applicability can provide information of value in corporate, educational, clinical, medical, and research settings. All it takes is 45 minutes online and the test is done.
